CHANEL OPENS ITS FIRST BOUTIQUE IN PRAGUE, DEDICATED TO FASHION AND FRAGRANCE AND BEAUTY

On June 16th 2022, CHANEL opens the doors of its highly anticipated first boutique in Prague, in an Art Deco-era building on Pařížská Street, in the historic heart of the city’s Old Town district, Staré Město.

Spanning 360 square meters, the two-level space showcases the latest CHANEL creations by Virginie Viard in Ready-to-Wear, handbags, small leather goods, shoes, costume jewelry and eyewear. Also, guests will be able to discover a selection of Watches & Fine Jewelry creations including the iconic and timeless J12, Première and Boy·Friend Watches, as well as the emblematic COCO CRUSH Fine Jewelry collection. The boutique will open with the CHANEL Métiers d’art 2021/22 collection, first unveiled in December 2021 at le19M, the emblematic new location initiated by the House of CHANEL to feature the excellence of the Fashion Métiers d’art and their savoir-faire in Paris.

Adjacent yet interconnected, a Fragrance & Beauty space measuring 40 square meters will present the full portfolio of CHANEL fragrances, makeup and skincare. Highlights include PARIS-PARIS, the latest perfume from the LES EAUX DE CHANEL collection, an olfactory adventure imbued with the fresh, spicy notes of Damascena rose. There also will be exciting new additions to the LES BEIGES makeup collection and the new holistic and eco-responsible beauty line, N°1 DE CHANEL.

For this project, the New-York based architect and longtime collaborator Peter Marino has once again captured CHANEL’s allure and timeless modernity while evolving House codes. Decorated in CHANEL’s emblematic color palette of black, white, beige and gold, the store features exquisite bespoke furnishings, marble flooring and light-colored tweeds that accentuate its warm, welcoming character. Custom carpets and hand-applied wall coatings further underscore the specialness of this boutique, which was designed to the latest standards. Among key features, a monumental stone staircase leads to the second level, where a bright and spacious shoe salon greets visitors with an elegant array of the latest styles.

In keeping with the CHANEL culture of supporting the arts, pieces commissioned specifically for this space include “Torso” by Johan Creten, “Gold Collage” by Robert Greene and “Camelia” by Shelter Serra.

A sophisticated, exciting showcase for CHANEL’s creativity and savoir-faire, this new boutique promises a unique and memorable shopping experience in the Czech capital.
