“If you stumble, make it part of the dance.”

On the fifth day of the social distancing week in Saigon, I learned an interesting quote: “If you stumble, make it part of the dance.” I find this quote very relevant, maybe because I am also learning to dance ?. More than that, it is true to my current life and probably many others’, as the pandemic postpones plans and brings about so much uncertainty for the future.

This week I had a photoshoot scheduled for Louis Vuitton as part of their Capucines campaign. However, social distancing restrictions had certainly made it difficult to set up and execute our previously planned concept. At the last minute though, our team came up with a home studio for the shoot with a limited amount of staff and equipment. Despite shooting with quite special circumstances, I was really happy with the results.

The setting of the shoot also fits the spirit that Louis Vuitton wants to convey in this campaign: creativity in fashion has no limits. Overcoming the “norm,” the Louis Vuitton girl always explores new fashion styles, breaks down barriers and shines with her timeless Capucines. 

I am also trying to overcome the limit called “social distancing” to shine every day (or at least buy a lamp to shine at home ?).
