2 of my favorite DETOX smoothie recipes

Are you eating enough greens every day? Nutritionists advise an adult should have about 300gr of vegetables and 100-200gr of fruits daily, but most of us probably only eat half of that required intake. I get it, the taste of vegetables and fruits is not for everyone. So in this blog post, I will share my favorite green smoothie recipes. These are the perfect drinks for summer: light, fresh, yummy and fully of those oh-so-good-for-your-skin vitamins.

  • Recipe #1: Green Spinach Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of plant-based milk (my favorite: almond milk)
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1 mango
  • 1 apple
  • 1 banana
  • 1 passion fruit (optional)
  • Chia seed
  • Ice cubes

Instruction

  • Pour milk into the blender (this recipe is all-blender friendly)
  • Add spinach, mango, apple, banana, and passion fruit
  • Blend well then add more fruits or ice up to your taste
  • No sugar necessary as mango and banana already make the smoothie sweet and smooth.
  • DON’T SPILL WHILE POURING (like I did)
  • Top it up with chia and voila, it’s ready to serve.
  1. Recipe #2: Spinach, banana and peanut butter smoothie

Recipe:

  • 1 cup of low-fat milk
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 banana
  • 1 spoon of peanut butter
  • Almonds

Instructions:

  • Pour milk into the blender
  • Add spinach, avocado, banana
  • Blend, then add peanut butter up to your taste
  • Add almonds for a richer, nutty taste
  • Add ice (optional)

Super yummy and easy, right?!
